About The Position
This is a Permanent role for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Houston, TX. The nurse will perform direct patient care, focusing on critically ill patients with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery. Responsibilities include organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting the plan of care, which should be individualized, family-centered, and holistic. The role also involves maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, participating in CHSU initiatives and process improvement, and incorporating teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse Associate Degree; BSN required w/6 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital).
- Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
