About The Position

Via Christi, St. Francis is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Pediatric and Burn ICU. This role involves night shifts and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $4,500. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evolve personalized care plans, ensuring clinical interventions align with patient needs.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, acting as a liaison between the bedside and the medical team.
• Coordinate across medical disciplines, harmonizing efforts between specialists, therapists, and physicians for seamless, holistic care.
• Interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders with clinical expertise, maintaining high standards of safety and excellence.
• Participate in the discharge planning process, collaborating with the healthcare team to prepare and support patients and families for home.
