About The Position
Provide nursing care in a mixed acuity unit with responsibilities for intermediate care, telemetry, and MedSurg patients. Care includes working with post-cardiac procedures, dysrhythmia management, and as a backup for stroke unit and medical overflow.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) certification - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Experience with cardiac procedural recovery, MI pharmacology, and titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with various acuities including intermediate care, telemetry, and MedSurg.
- Manage post cardiac and vascular procedures including post-open heart surgery and pacemaker insertions.
