About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a mixed acuity unit, including Intermediate Care, Tele, and MedSurg. Responsibilities include caring for oncology patients with surgical and new diagnoses, managing Oncology complications, and overseeing medical overflow. The role involves intermediate level care with telemetry monitoring, prolonged chemotherapy infusions, and TPE patients as staffing permits.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- EPIC experience required for first-time travelers
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
- Active RN license through the South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with titratable vasoactive drips
- Proficiency in chest port management
Nice To Haves
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to PCU/IMC level patients
- Monitor telemetry and patients receiving chemotherapy
- Float to various adult inpatient units as needed
- Participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule
