About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. The position is full-time, working day shifts. The nurse will provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
