About The Position

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and communicating patient condition, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders. The position also includes assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs and assessing and providing education on learning needs to patients and families based on age, culture, and willingness to learn. The Registered Nurse performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
• Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire
• RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position
