About The Position

MaxMed Healthcare, in partnership with ReadiForce Government Solutions LLC, is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (Pain Management) to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Registered Nurse (Pain Management) will coordinate and deliver patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals in support of the pain management service line. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in nursing.
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • One (1) year of experience within the last two (2) years as a registered nurse.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must meet all DHA health requirements: immunizations, annual seasonal influenza vaccination, TB screening (TST/IGRA within 3 months of reporting to TAMC), and a physical examination confirming fitness for duty.
  • Must pass security investigative requirements, including fingerprinting and completion of an SF-86 (or equivalent OPM investigative product); Child Background Check if working with children.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.
  • Provide effective scheduling and rescheduling of patient appointments.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established MTF policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform physical exams and health histories; provide health promotion, counseling, and education.
  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions; assist with a variety of interventional procedures.
  • Display effective IV placement and blood drawing skills; must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals and make patient care assignments based on scope of practice and skill level.
  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations.
