About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a per diem basis for day shifts. This role involves rendering professional nursing care, employing critical thinking to assess patients' conditions, recognize deviations, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations. The nurse will delegate appropriate patient care tasks and function as a team member to achieve unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.
Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
Responsibilities
- Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.
- Employs critical thinking skills to assess patients’ condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
- Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
- Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
