About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this role, you will be responsible for the recovery of post-operative adult patients in a high-volume, high-acuity environment. Our PACU operates within a level 1 trauma center, and you will be part of a collaborative team focused on providing exceptional care.
Requirements
- Current RN License in New York.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with PACU experience required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- ICU experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care to adult patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during recovery.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients for any complications following anesthesia.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient status.
- Work independently while utilizing excellent judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work culture.
