Make a difference Community Howard Regional Health has an excellent opportunity available within our PACU surgical care team located in Kokomo, IN. The PACU Registered Nurse will be responsible for performing direct patient care postoperatively as part of a surgical care team. Assessing, documenting and managing postoperative pain. Assessing airway adequacy and intervening quickly and appropriately when necessary. Cardiac monitoring and interpretation. Must demonstrate understanding and knowledge of all phases of recovery nursing principles and expectations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited school of nursing, or three years related professional nursing experience.
  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification within one year of employment.
  • 2 years experience for a prn position.
