About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Wound Care Clinic. This position is part-time, 32 hours per week, on the first shift. The role requires travel to outpatient clinics in Covington, Ft. Thomas, and Grant. The RN OP Wound Care/HBO is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This includes delegating tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health care team members, and providing assessment and coordination of care for patients requiring wound care assessment, management, and treatment. Initially, the RN will work in an intake/wrap up role with potential for advancement to case manager. The position may also involve acting as a Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (HRN), serving as the attendant and control operator of the hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) chamber under physician direction. Hyperbaric oxygen experience is not required, and training can be obtained within the role. Requirements

Graduate from accredited School of Nursing
Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
Focus of education promotes nurses’ ability to practice in clinical area assigned.
Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the health system and clinical area.
Able to critically think and problem solve in clinical situations.
One year current clinical nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
As HRN, able to complete or completion of Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) approved HBO Team Training Course.
Knowledgeable regarding basic wound care principles and practices.
Hyperbaric oxygen experience is not necessary for this position and additional training can be obtained within the role.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process.

Act in an intake/wrap up role initially with potential opportunity to advance to case manager.
Act in the dual role of Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (HRN), serving as the attendant and control operator of the hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) chamber under the direction of the HBO physician.
