This RN role, based at 355 W. 16th St., Suite 5100, Indianapolis, supports a busy functional neurosurgery practice consisting of three functional neurosurgeons and one APP. The nurse will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with opportunities to flex hours alongside the triage team after becoming established in the role. No weekends, holidays, or travel are required. Key responsibilities include managing patient calls and messages, preparing for clinic visits, providing patient education, supporting pre- and post-operative care, and conducting nurse visits. Following a 3 to 6 month onsite training period, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the care of patients with movement disorders while working within an innovative and collaborative specialty team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • An Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
  • Ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
  • Previous experience or familiarity with functional neurology is preferred but not required
