This full-time RN position offers the opportunity to work directly with a highly specialized Orthopedic Hand and Shoulder Surgeon, including patients undergoing Total Shoulder Replacement procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessments, vital signs, triage, education, pre- and post-operative care, wound care, documentation, medication preparation, assistance with minor procedures, clinic and surgery scheduling, FMLA and disability paperwork coordination, and support of the Medical Assistant team. The role is primarily based at our Indianapolis and Carmel locations and may require travel between sites. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm., with no weekends or holidays required. This is an onsite position, with the potential for one remote workday per week after six months. Candidates with experience in a surgical specialty are preferred, and additional experience in wound care or total joint surgery is highly valued. Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience
- Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be made for candidates with more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to CNO approval)
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
