About The Position

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implementing clinical nursing interventions, having a highly diverse medical skillset, developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS)
• ONS Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification (required within 6 months of hire)

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of medical/surgical or oncology experience
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training

Responsibilities

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespan
• Administers chemotherapy and other medication, starts IV's, transfuses blood and blood products and performs therapeutic phlebotomies
• Anticipates and responds with confidence and adapts to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers
• Other duties as assigned
