This role is for a Registered Nurse in Outpatient Dialysis areas, with a home site in Eisenberg, who will also float to other dialysis satellite locations. The RN is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care, functioning within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model. The role supports professional nursing practice across various settings and care continuums. The RN provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal/formal leadership, and quality improvement efforts. Delegation of patient care is based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. Excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are essential. Participation in committees or projects may be required. Some employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, requiring state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

Requirements

Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
One year of RN experience required.
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
BLS (Basic Life Support) must be valid for 90 days post start date; acceptable certifications include: American Heart Association (AHA)/Heartcode® BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers).
Employee must maintain current Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin RN license.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Experience working in a team environment.
Computer skills required.
Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
Prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Responsibilities
