About The Position

Responsible for providing quality nursing care while maintaining accountability for the coordination of patient care. This role involves providing patient/family centered care using the nursing process, focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. The position requires maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment, participating in shared governance, adhering to standards of care, and promoting professional growth and clinical excellence.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree required.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required (for RN II).
• Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions.
• Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
• Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.
• Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
