About The Position

MidState Medical Center is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. We are actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Orthopedic units across multiple hours and shifts. We focus on taking great care of our Orthopedic Registered Nurses by offering tuition reimbursement, strong employee assistance and wellness programs, no mandating or off-shift rotations, onsite free parking, uniform stipends, and healthy staff ratios. Our nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices, with clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities through our Orthopedic Nurse Residency program. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred
