About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in Orthopedic Spine Medical Telemetry at Skokie Hospital. It is a Per Diem/Resource position with a day shift from 7am-7:30pm, including rotating weekends. The role involves independently providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, and guiding unlicensed assistive personnel. Collaboration with the healthcare team is essential for optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly preferred
- Prior nursing or if new graduate nurse, CNA experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
