RN - Registered Nurse - Ortho/Neuro - Post Surgical
About The Position
This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Ortho/Neuro Post-Surgical care. The role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with various healthcare team members. The nurse will also be responsible for noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing patient discharge planning needs. Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
