About The Position

Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. This role involves preparing operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use. The Registered Nurse will directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning. The position also requires performing both scrub and circulating functions, which include selecting and handling instruments and supplies, monitoring and recording patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
One year of RN Experience required

Responsibilities
