About The Position

The Registered Nurse or LPN provides patient support and communication while facilitating an exceptional patient experience that builds satisfaction, trust, and organizational loyalty. The role welcomes and prepares patients for appointments, informs them about relevant visit information, and clearly communicates the services they are scheduled to receive. The position is based in internal or family medicine and involves clinical care, patient education, specimen handling, room preparation, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Phlebotomy experience required.
High school diploma or equivalency required.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience preferred.
Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or an emergency room preferred.
Spanish-speaking ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate kindness and compassion in all patient interactions.
Prepare and administer oral, intramuscular, and intradermal medications as directed by the provider, following the Rights of Vaccine or Medication Administration.
Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered or indicated, suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care activities.
Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
Provide patients with instruction regarding medications and diet.
Authorize prescription refills as directed.
Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
Perform quality controls and equipment checks.
