About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with IV certification for a part-time position on the 7a-7p shift in our Psychiatric unit. This role is crucial in implementing the nursing process, carrying out physician orders, performing patient assessments, and ensuring quality care. The position involves instructing patients and families, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The successful candidate will act as an ambassador for Firelands Health, demonstrating service excellence.

Requirements

• Must have a current Ohio RN or LPN-IV license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Nice To Haves

• Psychiatric Certification, Basic EKG, and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
