RN/ LPN Extended Hours - Part Time
About The Position
Ohio's Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families during evening and overnight hours. The RN plans and delivers patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high standards of professional nursing practice. The schedule is 4 p.m. to midnight two days per week, plus 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every other weekend. The position requires working two holidays per year and provides coverage throughout the Wooster, Millersburg, and New Philadelphia service areas. Travel between patient locations is required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; an ASN is required for RN candidates.
- Active Ohio RN or LPN license without board actions.
- Current CPR certification.
- Computer skills sufficient to accurately document services and patient care.
- Ability to travel during daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- State minimum automobile insurance coverage.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred for RN candidates.
- Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment.
