About The Position

Community Hospital is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator. Under general supervision, the RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and care standards. In collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of the health care team, the Staff RN manages and delivers patient care in the intraoperative setting using the nursing process. The Staff RN also assists the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities, works as a team member throughout the facility, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Oklahoma.
• AHA BLS Healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire if not currently certified.
• AHA ACLS certification required within 120 days of hire if not currently certified.
• AHA PALS certification required within 120 days of hire if not currently certified.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of experience as an OR circulator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to surgical patients in the operating room according to policies, procedures, and care standards.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes during surgery, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Act to protect and advance the patient's best interest.
• Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the job description and continually demonstrate competency in performing job duties.
• Assist the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities.
• Work as a team member throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
