About The Position
Registered Nurse / RN Outpatient Surgery To provide safe and effective patient care, through the performance of specific duties as the Surgical Technician in the Operating Room during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. Registered Nurse / RN Performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Registered Nurse / RN Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement Program. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- Ability to perform routine scrub duties
- Knowledge of AORN standards
- Familiarity with established policies and procedures of the department of surgery
- Ability to maintain a safe environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Availability for on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays
