Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BLS certification required
• Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and an ability to provide quality patient care.
• Looking for candidates who can assess patient needs across various dimensions, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proficient in the use of standard clinical equipment and instrumentation essential for maintaining a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred
• Preferred experience in preceptorship, charge roles, and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Recognize and act on safety issues for self and others, employing safe lifting techniques when moving patients
• Function effectively in stressful situations and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities with the capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks
• May assume duties typically assigned to a charge nurse
