About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a surgical setting. This role requires a high level of expertise, especially in orthopedic procedures, and a commitment to the well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in all listed surgical specialties.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Availability to work on holidays, including Christmas Day.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, total joints, fractures, gynecology, robotic, urology, general surgery, ENT, and orthopedic spine.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage medications during surgery.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Epic.
