This role provides for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and adheres to the organization's mission statement. It involves the supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination with ancillary services. The position also includes educating patients and their families about their disease process and care plan, and involving them in the development of an individualized plan of care. Responsibilities include coordinating and preparing the assigned room/case, assessing patient care needs, and anticipating the needs of the case. This position requires being on call. Performance Standards Note: Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and utilize "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs.
