About The Position

IU Health is seeking Registered Nurses for Operating Room positions, offering both part-time and full-time roles. The organization emphasizes professional growth, learning, and delivering high-level patient care within a supportive culture. The O.R. Fellowship Program is designed for new graduates to learn scrubbing and circulating, with support from educators and preceptors. Experienced OR nurses will undergo bi-weekly orientations, initially on day shift. This position is referral eligible and qualifies for a location differential. The unit handles Level 1 Trauma Services and various surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, ENT, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, Thoracic, and Urology. The unit has 29 ORs, including two hybrid rooms and one IMRIS. The unit has Magnet designation and focuses on interdisciplinary teams and process improvement.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN)
• Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply for candidates with >2 years acute care experience, subject to CNO approval)
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
