The Registered Nurse will work in an operating room serving Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics. The role may require floating within the facility and the nurse’s scope of practice, as well as to Outpatient as needed. This is a sensitive unit. Candidates should review all unit and job details. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Clinical staff will assess candidates for clinical fit; candidates who pass that review and meet Piedmont guidelines will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis. Weekend and call requirements vary and will be discussed during the interview. No holiday requests for time off will be approved. Blackout dates are November 23–29 and December 21–January 3. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of seven days. Full compliance is required to start on time; a delay in compliance may push the start date back by two weeks because orientation is scheduled biweekly. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length, such as 8 hours for an 8-week assignment or 10 hours for a 10-week assignment.
