About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR). This is a full-time, permanent position with a weekend day shift schedule. On-call duties are required and will be discussed during the interview. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Professional nursing standards encompass ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess the clinical knowledge and skills to meet the standards required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

  • ADN required
  • Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • RN Experience in a hospital setting.
  • OR experience

  • BSN or higher preferred
