About The Position
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing patient needs and initiating appropriate interventions. This position requires flexibility to cover all shifts and includes holiday coverage, variable day shifts with call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing or Associate's degree
- Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
- At least 18 months of Registered Nurse experience
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
- 1 year of circulating experience
- 1 year of scrub experience
Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health or situations (Assessment)
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
- Identify expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to achieve expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
- Implement the identified plan of care
- Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment
- Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
- Attain knowledge and competency that reflect current nursing practice
- Evaluate personal nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines
- Interact and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues
- Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the nursing practice
- Integrate ethical provisions into all areas of practice
- Incorporate research findings into practice
- Provide leadership within the professional practice setting
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures related to the care of patients with hyperacute and acute stroke
- Participate in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within the first year of hire
- Participate in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education
