About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room to support perioperative patient care at its Birmingham Outpatient facility. The nurse assesses patient status throughout the perioperative episode, develops an individualized perioperative plan of care, and works with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care. The role supports SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
• If pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services, complete Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of operating room and/or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.
