Registered Nurse - Operating Room Float Pool
About The Position
We are hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services Float Pool team. This is a full time day shift position that will float between 4 of our hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas. Hours of shift will be 8 hour shifts M-F; based on organizational needs. Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance. In this position you will work with various conditions, procedures, and acuity levels. Our Plaza location is a Magnet Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center. Requirements
- 2 years Applicable Experience
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree

Responsibilities
- Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
- Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Delegates tasks appropriately.
- Identifies hospital resources.
- Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
- Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
