About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Chemo/Infusion department is responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient nursing care. This role involves patient and family education, and leadership in collaborating with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to uphold professional nursing practice standards within the clinical setting. The RN will also focus on creating a positive customer service environment.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
- ADN or higher
Responsibilities
- Assessment and identification of patient needs
- Implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
- Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision
- Establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care
- Assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems
- Performs technical aspects of care competently
