About The Position
The Registered Nurse - Oncology position is a full-time role within Advocate Christ Medical Center - Infusion: Dreyer. This role focuses on patient-centered, wholistic care, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and engagement with diverse populations. Nurses will collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to deliver exemplary care and foster lifelong relationships with patients and families to support their health goals. The position involves clinical excellence through evidence-based practice, skilled dialogue, and leadership in creating a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience. Nurses are expected to participate in healthcare transformation and contribute to the nursing profession through vision, accountability, and care coordination. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Illinois RN license
- Current CPR Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with patient care equipment
- Registered Nurse: 2 years’ experience preferred
- Oncology: 1 year experience in oncology preferred
Nice To Haves
- Oncology background is preferred
- Chemo certification highly preferred
- BSN Preferred
- OCN preferred or obtained when OCN requirements met
