The Oncology Nurse utilizes an effective and appropriate communication style and works collaboratively with other healthcare disciplines to assure safe delivery of oncologic patient care. The Oncology Nurse participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within their designated department. The Oncology Nurse assists with maintaining a safe work environment and demonstrates annual competence with clinical skills, clinical equipment, and the electronic medical record system.
