Per Diem Registered Nurse- Oncology
About The Position
Medical Oncology Associates of San Diego is a proud partner of One Oncology's network of the nations leading oncology practices. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve. This is a private Hematology/Oncology practice seeking an experienced RN with oncology experience to work in our outpatient infusion center in San Diego, California on a per diem basis. We are a 9-physician group that offers a full range of oncology services in an atmosphere that is friendly, cooperative, and professional. You will be a valued part of the cancer care team, providing daily support to patients undergoing treatment and collaborating with treating physicians.
Requirements
- Current California RN License
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in Oncology required
- Excellent IV skills
- ONS certification is required within 6 months of hire
- Familiarity with computerized medical records
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate
- Able to work well as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- OCN preferred
Responsibilities
- Assessment of patients with complex diagnoses and treatment plans
- Providing vascular access for medication administration either through PIV or CAD
- Administering chemotherapy and supportive medications
- Educating patients and families on medications and assisting with side effect management
Benefits
- Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
