Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Must have chemo/immunotherapy card or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality direct nursing care by adhering to established clinical policies and organizational protocols to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort.
  • Implement and continuously evaluate tailored patient care plans, monitoring and recording real-time conditions to proactively adapt treatments and ensure accurate documentation of the patient journey.
  • Serve as the primary care coordinator across multidisciplinary teams, bridging the communication gap between physicians, specialists, and support staff to deliver a seamless, well-coordinated healthcare experience.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders with high precision, combining clinical expertise with critical thinking to safely advance the patient's treatment plan.
  • Assess and champion the patient's discharge planning needs early in the care cycle, collaborating with the healthcare team to guarantee a safe, smooth, and well-prepared transition back to the community.
