About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Oncology for an exciting Travel or Local job in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves providing direct outpatient oncology nursing care, administering chemotherapy and oncology medications safely, performing IV insertion, injections, and infusion therapy, and monitoring patients during and after chemotherapy treatments. The nurse will manage oncology treatment workflows using EPIC EMR, educate patients on treatment plans, side effects, and medication management, and collaborate with oncologists and infusion center teams. Ensuring compliance with oncology safety protocols and ONS standards is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse License.
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology nursing experience.
- BLS Certification (AHA or ARC).
- ONS/ONCC Certification required.
- Strong proficiency with EPIC EMR.
- Excellent IV insertion and medication administration skills.
- Strong knowledge of oncology medications and infusion protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient Oncology experience.
- Chemotherapy administration experience.
- Experience in infusion center settings.
