About The Position

This outpatient clinic position involves providing nursing care for adult patients in Medical Oncology/Hematology, including pre-transplant and post-transplant care. Registered Nurses will need to work collaboratively with support staff and existing medical teams, following department protocols and using Epic Ambulatory systems.

Requirements

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of Oncology experience.
• Must have completed at least one 13-week assignment as a traveler and live more than 100 miles away from the facility.
• Required certifications: BLS and ONS
• Experience with Epic Ambulatory charting system.
• Clinic experience with specific skills in patient rooming, order processing, and procedure setups.

Nice To Haves

• OCN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing systems, and performing medication reconciliation and weight checks.
• Experience as first assist and chaperoning during provider exams and procedures in the clinic.
• Obtaining and processing orders for infusions and communication if cleared.
• Setting up for procedures, conducting chart checks, and reviewing referrals.
