Registered Nurse - Oncology

Our practice in New Jersey is looking for a Oncology Registered Nurse, Lead. This position will be located in our Rutherford location with travel to our nearby locations when needed for coverage. Requirements
- Current RN License
- CPR Cert.
- Experience as an RN with specialty in oncology/hematology
- Must have managerial experience
- Chemotherapy Certification required
- Knowledge of EMR systems (preferably OncoEMR)
- Travel between office sites when needed

Responsibilities
- Chemotherapy administration
- Symptom management
- Operate emergency equipment
- Administer injections
- Verify completed consents for medications in EMR and other direct patient care responsibilities
- Manage scheduling of direct staff, i.e., enter in applications such as MS Calendar
- Manage timecard and time off requests (entering/approval/monitor) in Workday application
- Calculate and enter daily acuity into appropriate data sheets, folders and/or applications
- Understanding of laboratory policies, processes, and troubleshooting
- Communicate direct staff issues to Department head
- Support and develop clinical staff to optimize their desire and ability to meet or exceed performance expectations
- Mentor, coach, counsel and implement developmental or performance improvement plans, as appropriate, in consultation with department head
