Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology Clinic
About The Position
Inova Schar Cancer Institute is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our brand new Woodbridge location! This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 or 8:30 - 5:00. We are closed on the weekends and there are no night shifts or on-call hours! Sign on bonus and relocation assistance available to qualified external candidates! This position will have the opportunity to work 1 day per week from home after an orientation period. Requirements
- 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- BLS certification required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Oncology experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs biopsychosocial assessments on patients
- Provides medications and treatments to patients
- Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions
- Develops plan of care
- Works with the interdisciplinary team to assist adult patient to meet treatment goals
- Reports to the Clinical Director
