Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work ON CALL, with a schedule from 4pm-midnight, including every other weekend. This role offers an opportunity to engage in hands-on, patient-centered care as an integral part of Delaware Hospice's mission and interdisciplinary team. The RN coordinates interdisciplinary Hospice services for patients and families, utilizing the nursing process to provide quality nursing care in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy. The position involves supporting primary caregivers in patient physical care and actively participating in coverage across all shifts as needed. Delaware Hospice nurses may also care for pediatric patients through the Katybug program, which specializes in providing relief from pain and symptoms for children from perinatal to young adult in their homes, along with practical resources and emotional support for families. The dedicated Delaware Hospice team includes a Medical Director, Registered Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant, Social Worker, Chaplain, Adult and Child Bereavement Counselor, and Volunteers. Since 1982, Delaware Hospice has been a licensed, nonprofit, community-based hospice, accredited by the Joint Commission, providing high-quality hospice and healthcare services in Delaware and parts of Pennsylvania. Their mission is to support individuals, families, and communities with compassionate and expert care for serious illness, offering services through various programs at the Delaware Hospice Center, in private homes, or acute and long-term care facilities.
