About The Position

Tapestry Hospice & Palliative Care is a family-owned and operated organization with over 16 years of experience caring for patients and families in North Georgia. They pride themselves on providing compassionate, dignified, and respectful care. The organization is growing and seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse On-Call (RNOC) to join their interdisciplinary team. This role is crucial in providing comfort, peace, and compassion during critical moments, working alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers.

Requirements

Active Georgia Registered Nurse license
Ability to work a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
Strong clinical assessment and time-management skills
Comfort performing admissions and pronouncements
Passion for patient-centered, compassionate care
Ability to work independently while remaining connected to the team

Nice To Haves

Hospice case management experience
Critical Care, Surgery, or Oncology nursing experience

Responsibilities

Provide holistic, skilled nursing care to hospice patients and their families outside of normal business hours.
Provide guidance to patients with dignity and support loved ones with confidence and compassion, especially during critical moments.
Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care using the nursing process.
Collaborate closely with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Perform admissions, follow-up visits, and patient pronouncements.
Manage pain and symptoms with confidence and expertise.
Educate patients and families and evaluate outcomes.
Offer compassionate support to families at the time of death.
Maintain high standards of clinical competence and professionalism.
