Compensation for this role is $48.50 - $74.60 Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

Requirements

Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a registered professional nurse.
Successful completion of the BLS Provider Course to being released from unit orientation. BLS renewal is not required once ACLS is obtained.
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform the full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate a computer and office equipment.
Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or constant walking.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and to prioritize tasks.
Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility.
Ability to multi-task.
Detailed attention is required to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.

Nice To Haves

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Successful completion of an AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course within two years of hire, and every 2 years thereafter.
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification within 3 years preferred.
RNC, RN, or Obstetrical Nursing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Implementing the Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice
Ensuring all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskill’s Hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and the New York State Licensure requirements
Exhibiting critical thinking, effectively organizing/prioritizing accordingly, and implementing evidence-based nursing
