About The Position

Provide skilled nursing care to outpatient patients assigned to observation status. Assess, implement, and monitor patient care according to physician orders and accepted nursing standards. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe and effective patient care.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Observation nursing experience – Required.
• Active Michigan RN license – Required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS – Required.
• Work history.
• Observation Skills Checklist, current within 1 year – Required.
• Two Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last 2 years – Required.
• Proof of active Michigan license through LARA and/or Nursys – Required.
• Current AHA BLS – Required.

Nice To Haves

• Epic EMR experience – Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and provide skilled nursing services according to the plan of care.
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments.
• Respond to call lights and alarms.
• Assist patients with transfers and other care needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updates or revisions.
• Process physician/provider orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders as needed.
