About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital. This is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7 am to 7 pm. The role involves working every third weekend and rotating holidays. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering safe and compassionate nursing care, including planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Requirements

Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
Knowledge base of EKG interpretation
NIHSS Stroke Scale certification

Nice To Haves

If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg), preferred
ACLS certification, preferred
1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
