Requirements

• Completion of a BSN or an ADN from an accredited institution.
• Current WA State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Have or obtain specialty certification in lactation or childbirth education within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years ambulatory nursing experience with BSN or three (3) years with an ADN preferred, in areas such as public health, community health, or equivalent.
• Experience in multicultural nursing or other social service area.
• Commitment to community health care preferred.
• OB/MSS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and performs duties as stated in the guidelines of the First Steps state program.
• Incorporates maternity support (MSS), infant case management (ICM), and childbirth education into the role.
• Available for 1 Saturday per month as needed for staffing.
