This Nurse Residency Program is designed for new graduate nurses with less than one year of experience. The program blends core clinical training with specialty-specific education, including quality and safety classes, simulation labs, one-on-one skills validation, hands-on learning with clinical mentors, and ongoing professional development. The goal is to help new graduate nurses build a strong foundation for a successful nursing career. The program requires attending all quality and core curriculum classes, participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and completing all clinical competencies and validation requirements. Residents work under the supervision of the Clinical Education Team and licensed Registered Nurses to refine nursing knowledge and skills, manage clinical situations, and gain experience in patient care, documentation, and procedures. Adherence to organizational policies regarding licensure renewal, training, employee health, time and attendance, dress code, patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration is mandatory.
